《社區營造學報》（Community Empowering Studies） 創刊於西元 2022 年 12 月，時迎新年伊始，同逢新生創始之際。籌創此刊乃念台灣之社區營造推行近 30 年，成效多樣豐富，碩果累累。為促使國內相關研究能有一完善、專業之發表暨交流平台，以海納社造之多元與跨學科、跨領域之特性，並能顧及其兼含學術與實踐之內涵。本會身為長期耕耘台灣社造之學術組織，遂尋求文化部及各界支持，戮力籌辦一份可廣納眾學術研究者與實務工作者交流論述的社造刊物，以能跨域連結國內外各大專院校、學術機構、社會組織等各相關專業學門之研究為己任。 

本學報旨在宣揚與推廣社區營造相關知識與實踐經驗之記載、交流與傳承，期能成為台灣，乃至亞太地區社區營造指標性刊物。收納文章不拘理論或實務，凡與社區營造相關之實踐案例、創新理論、政策研擬等主題皆歡迎惠賜稿件。

今於台灣社區營造推動將屆三十年之際，終得創立專屬之學術刊物，望啟開流鑿壁之始，成亞太區域社造推動共榮之效。

Inaugural foreword

The Journal of Community Empowering Studies is founded in December 2022, at the dawn of a new year that is coincided with a period of new beginnings. This journal was established in recognition of Taiwan’s nearly 30 years of efforts in community empowering. These endeavors have yielded rich and diverse results, showcasing substantial achievements. The journal aims to provide a comprehensive and professional platform for the publication and exchange of related research, embracing the multidisciplinary and cross-sectoral nature of community development while addressing its academic and practical dimensions. As an academic organization with a long-standing commitment to advancing Taiwan’s community empowering, we, Community Empowering Society sought the support of the Ministry of Culture and various sectors to diligently establish a publication. This platform serves as a space for scholarly researchers and practitioners to exchange ideas and discussions. It is dedicated to fostering cross-disciplinary connections among domestic and international universities, academic institutions, social organizations, and other professional fields.

This journal aims to promote and disseminate knowledge and practical experiences related to community building, serving as a platform for documentation, exchange, and inheritance. It aspires to become a benchmark publication for community building in Taiwan and across the Asia-Pacific region. Submissions are welcome regardless of theoretical or practical focus, including topics such as practical cases, innovative theories, and policy formulation related to community building.

As Taiwan is approaching to the 30th anniversary of its community-building efforts, the establishment of the dedicated academic journal marks a significant milestone. It is hoped that this endeavor will lay the foundation for shared progress and mutual growth in promoting community building across the Asia-Pacific region.
